It’s a scary idea to invest so much time, money, and effort into building and maintaining a security infrastructure without a system in place to prove its effectiveness. Unfortunately, that’s exactly how organizations have been forced to operate before Security Instrumentation.

Bestselling cybersecurity author Richard Stiennon is releasing his latest paper, “The Urgent Need for Security Instrumentation,” this Friday, Nov 2nd. Richard sums up the core of his research in a recent interview by stating, “The urgency for Security Instrumentation is to quickly discover whether or not your years of investment in security is actually doing what it's supposed to be doing.”

Richard explains in his paper that infrastructure complexity, continuously shifting IT environments, and the absence of automatic validation undercut cybersecurity efforts on a mass scale. Every environment is unique and, if not properly calibrated, organizations miss out on significant value from security technologies. Simply put, security teams cannot definitively say what controls are effective, what needs to be tuned, and what is completely broken or missing.

Before Security Instrumentation, security teams had no ability to continuously challenge and verify that every control is functioning as intended. At Verodin, our mission is to remove assumptions and prove security effectiveness. The Verodin Security Instrumentation Platform (SIP) provides organizations with the evidence required to determine if their people, policies, and controls are effective.

Join Richard next Friday, Nov 2 at his upcoming webinar, “Questions That Every CISO Needs to Be Asking,” to learn more.
